Innovating the shopping experience
Luxury shopping heightened to a new level of sophistication and comfort in the high-end department store INNO in Brussels, by the joint forces of strategic studio Maioor, INNO, and SOFACOMPANY.

INNO is a Belgian luxury department store chain with multiple locations spread across Belgium offering its customers a uniquely curated shopping experience – which it has proudly done for more than 125 years.
INNO Brussels wanted to upgrade their shoe and lingerie departments, and with the help from Maioor and SOFACOMPANY two new visual concepts were developed to set the perfect ambience for both spaces.


Curated furniture for curated spaces
The lingerie section was imbued in delicate hues of pink to celebrate and empower the essence of femininity and sensuality. Lots of fabric and organic shapes came into play for this setting, and SOFACOMPANY assisted Maioor and INNO in finding the right textures, colours, and design pieces to emphasise this expression.
For the shoe department the styling was slightly more regal and extravagant, focusing on plush fabrics in dark hues and design with a hint of old-school craftsmanship to complement the golden details, the mirrors, and the marble surfaces. All in all, to create a visually striking environment that would captivate and enchant the INNO customers.
“When selecting the furniture for each department, it was really important to find something that could exude the comfort and exclusivity so closely linked to the INNO brand. And with the assistance of SOFACOMPANY we saw just how much great design can enhance the mood of a space”, explains Peter Timmermans from INNO.
